The Defence Force Foundation (DFF) was established under Section 72 (1) (e) of the Defence Act, Act 1 of 2002. Whereas Section 86 of the Defence Act, (Act 1 of 2002), makes provision for the establishment of Trading Institution, Clubs and Mess for the exclusive use or benefits of members of the Defence Force and their families, other prescribed persons or classes of persons.
